"To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard old problems
from a new angle,
requires creative imagination and marks real advance in science."
Albert Einstein
"Textbooks present science as a noble search for truth, in which progress depends on questioning established ideas. But for many scientists, this is a cruel myth. They know from bitter experience that disagreeing with the dominant view is dangerous - especially when that view is backed by powerful interest groups. Call it suppression of intellectual dissent. The usual pattern is that someone does research or speaks out in a way that threatens a powerful interest group, typically a government, industry or professional body. As a result, representatives of that group attack the critic's ideas or the critic personally-by censoring writing, blocking publications, denying appointments or promotions, withdrawing research grants, taking legal actions, harassing, blacklisting, spreading rumor." "There must be no barriers to freedom of inquiry. There is no place for dogma in science. The scientist is free, and must be free to ask any question, to doubt any assertion, to seek for any evidence, to correct any error." Robert Oppenheimer, 1949
With the above in mind, this site was created as a mediated, closed
forum for professionals, academics, and aspiring amateurs to publish
their work anonymously. It is hoped that a means of challenging current
scientific dogma will build here. Offering the authors a means to
receive constructive reviews from similarly open-minded individuals
free of disparaging remarks that are simply delivered to discourage
the brave.
The inclusion of alternate theories will be encouraged, if not expected.
No scientific topic will be off-limits and new ideas will not meet
with the posting of disparaging remarks.
However, this is not the site to argue your religious beliefs. Those arguments have many a forum for their discussion. It is not important which; if any, god you hold dear. This is "Purely Science - No Religion Involved".
There are a great number of you with well thought-out ideas and/or
findings that need a place to be disseminated without risk to your
professional career or reputation. With your help, this will become
that site.
